  • Job Details
  • This position is for a nursing role in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
  • Start Date: ASAP.
  • Shift Times: 12N.
  • Hours per week: 36.
  • Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1; 1:2.
  • Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Respiratory failure, status asthmaticus, ingestion, trauma, post-operative.
  • Special Procedures: Intubation, central line placement, dressing changes.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have License/Cert.
    • Previous successful travel assignment experience required (1 year).
    • EMR: Epic experience required.
      • Schedule Information
      • Holiday RTO 1 day between 11/27-12/1; 12/23-1/2.
      • Must work 2/3 holidays.
      • Weekend Requirement: every third weekend.
      • Offers to be accepted or declined within 48 hours or they will be rescinded.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • # of Beds: 12.
          • Additional Details
          • Flu and COVID vaccine required, medical or religious exceptions are accepted.
          • Float Requirement: as needed in skillset.
          • All travelers will need to float to all floors at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Methodist West.
          • Local travelers will have a 10 percent reduction to rate.
