Job Description:
The Opportunity:Avantor is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Region Sales Director to lead a high-performing team and drive
sales across a diverse territory, including IA, NE, WI, and IL.The
Region Sales Director will manage a multi-million-dollar territory
and be responsible for creating and implementing successful
strategies to further segment and penetrate the market, including
Higher Education, Pharma, Biotech, and Industrial sectors.Ideally,
the candidate will live near the Des Moines, IA area.What we're
looking for:
- Education: College degree or equivalent/applicable experience,
required
- Experience: 3-5 years of proven leadership experience in team
development and management.
- Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office, with preference for
experience in C4C or Qlikview
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Several years of successful outside sales experience,
demonstrating strong industry knowledge and negotiation
skills.
- Distribution experience and a scientific background and/or have
worked in a laboratory or research environment
- Excellent presentation and coaching skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
effectively.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational
skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems efficiently.How
you will thrive and create an impact:
- Hire, train, and set expectations with all sales associates in
the region.
- Continually evaluate associate progress and performance.
- Provide formal and informal sales training to all sales
associates in the assigned area.
- Develop programs and selling strategies to motivate the sales
force and stimulate sales.
- Develop and maintain sound customer and supplier
relations.
- Directly handle contract negotiations for key accounts.
- Prepare sales and gross margin forecasts for region territories
and analyze and monitor sales data for the region.
- Monitor and manage key product sales.
- Successfully interface with internal customers and service
providers such as NCO, Furniture division, VWR Specialists, and
Business Process Consultants.
